Haircut

- Preparation: The dog is gently and thoroughly combed to remove any tangles or knots..
- Bathing: The dog is bathed using professional cosmetics adapted to its coat type.
- Drying: After bathing, the coat is gently dried and combed again.
- Trimming: As previously agreed, the coat is precisely cut, styled and shaped.
- Additional grooming: The grooming can be completed with claw shortening, cleaning of ears and eye area.
It depends on the breed of dog, the type and growth rate of the coat and the individual owner's preference. However, we recommend a haircut every 4-8 weeks. Regular salon visits not only keep your dog looking beautiful, but also contribute to good skin and coat hygiene and health.
Trimming
Trimming is a specialised method of coat grooming, particularly important for coarse-haired dogs. The technique involves manually removing dead hair from the coat, which promotes the growth of a new, healthy coat. Trimming is key to maintaining the correct texture and colour of the coat, as well as aiding the dog’s skin hygiene.
- Assessment of the coat: We first assess the condition and length of the dog's coat to adapt the trimming technique.
- Trimming: Using special tools, we gently remove dead hair, taking care of the dog's comfort.
- Bathing: After trimming, the dog is bathed, which helps to remove residual hair and refreshes the skin and coat.
- Drying and combing: The coat is then dried and carefully combed.
It depends on the breed of dog, the rate of hair growth and the individual needs of the dog. Trimming every 3 to 6 months is usually recommended. Regular trimming helps to avoid skin problems, maintains proper coat condition and keeps your dog comfortable
